Presenting…

Teagyn Aatagwéix'i Vallevand - She/Her/Slay

Teagyn Aatagwéix'i Vallevand is a local trickster from the Whitehorse area, a citizen of Kwanlin Dun First Nations, and belongs to the Ganaaxteidi Raven Clan. You probably know her as an emcee for events like Bluefeather Music Festival, but she's new to the scene of stand-up storytelling! When Teagyn's not goofing around, you can find her making big bougie beaded earrings.

Jacqueline Bedard - She/Her

Jacqueline Bedard is a Yukoner of nearly 17 years, having moved up from Victoria, BC one snowy, cold April. She has dabbled in creative writing since childhood, getting a sci-fi story published in the Western Producer at the age of 11. With a bit of time on her hands now, she’s diving back into writing exploration. She went on her first moose hunt in 2008.

Nicholas Pullen - He/Him

Nicholas Pullen is the author of the upcoming gothic historical horror triptych The Black Hunger, out on Orbit Books in Autumn, 2024, as well as numerous short stories, one of which, ‘Famous Blue,’ placed third in the Toronto Star Short Story Contest in 2019. His work has also appeared in The Copperfield Review and Anti-Heroin Chic. He is a graduate of Somerville College at Oxford University, where he received his BA in History, and holds an MA in history from McGill University. By day he is a treaty negotiator at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. He knows the names, locations, depths, and stories of every shipwreck in Georgian Bay, and most of the rest of the Great Lakes for that matter.

Jicklinghouse

Jicklinghouse swells from the imaginations of Sam Gallagher, Peter Jickling, and Scott Maynard. Sam plays the lap steel, Scott plays a menagerie, and Peter reads his poetry. Together they search for areas of resonance between spoken word and improvisational jazz rock. No journey is ever the same.
