Nakai needs supplies for giant puppets and the like!

For the Landscape Theatre project, we’re going to be building some big puppets, some flags, some stilts and some other spectacular prototypes.

We want to do this with as much re-use as possible.

We need your ripped tents, your stray poles, that old metal framed backpack, the 3’ or longer lengths of PVC from the pile out back and that high-visibility vest that you never wear!

We’re going to be at Makespace Tuesday July 16 from 3-6pm ready to receive your offers.

WHAT WE NEED:

• Backpacks with metal frame
  • we’re looking for 3-5 of these
• PVC Pipe 3’-25’ (up to 2’ diameter – new and used)
• Wooden Dowels - 3’-8’ x 5/16” – 1”
• Tent poles – Extra and old – These are for wings and body shapes, they will be cut up and sown.
• Ripped tents
• Old high visibility material
• Traffic cones, Large (2 or 3 is fine)
• Hoola Hoops
• Kites
• Bicycle tires: BMX / Mountain bike. Can be worn or punctured. We’ll be cutting them up.
• Canvas and webbing strips
• Velcro strips

There are a few things we’re looking for that we can return after:

• Walkie Talkies
• Binoculars
