ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Nicole Bauberger, an artist of settler ancestry, is grateful to have made her home on the traditional territories of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation and the Ta’an Kwach’an Council since 2003. Best known as a visual artist, she follows her interests among materials and disciplines as need and opportunity coalesce. When galleries closed due to Covid, she made the Dalton Trail Trail Gallery in the woods behind her house, and gathered people’s poems into collective pieces she read down on Paddy’s Pond in Hillcrest for the Civil Twilight Performances. Over the past year she has also been exploring what the motifs of Raven, Monster and Dress might have to say to each other. This installation and performance celebrates resilience.
