Help us make awesome!

It’s been a full year for Nakai as we entertained audiences and helped theatre grow stronger in the Yukon.

Nakai’s year included a commission from Ivan Coyote and Sarah MacDougall (Trader Time), a local cast and choir joining forces (3penny Radio Revue), a smash hit musical (Onegin), a play/rock show at Atlin Arts and Music Festival (When We Dance, We Dance Together) plus uncommon social events, guided walks, and transformative workshops.

Nakai is entering the next year with big plans —
And we need your support to make them awesome!

Our annual programming includes the much loved 24hr Challenge, the inspiring Pivot Festival plus workshops and opportunities for everyone — whether you are an aspiring or experienced theatre artist, a YG employee looking to boost confidence and creativity, a First Nation youth or elder with a story to tell, or an entrepreneur looking for an advantage.

We are focused on making theatre that can only be made here. We’re turning to our landscape and asking what stories can be told outside; we’re sharing stories for and of the Yukon that aren’t about gold and we’re contributing to a thriving territory through theatre.

We hope that you will help Nakai Theatre’s activities this season with a donation. Your support ensures our events are accessible and vibrant. We are fortunate to work in the Yukon, where people know the value of our local arts community and pitch in to make it happen.

Please find a donation form attached, along with a little more about Nakai and recent and upcoming programming.

Thank you so much for considering our request, and for being a supporter of Nakai Theatre.
